Arts Grant Application Submitted--Nervous!

I'm going out on a limb and have applied for an arts grant from a local organization to create 10 landscape quilts based on historic and notable landmarks, gardens and parks in our county.  As this is the first grant application (and narrative and artists resume) I have ever submitted, I am worried that I haven't filled everything out correctly or said what needed to be said or dotted all i's and crossed all t's.  The committee meets the second week of November and I will find out the verdict… Continue

Susan Sorrells, A Wonderful Artisan and Speaker

Susan visited our Spartanburg, SC quilt guild last night and shared her work with us as well as her journey to fiber arts. She is not only an extremely talented artist but an engaging, down-to-earth, approachable person. And we found out we took undergrad art courses together at Winthrop College in the 80's. Not only did I enjoy her presentation, but she has re-energized me and I'm determined not to let work, children, or life in general keep me from creating art!
