Miss Jimmy's Artist Retreat

When one hears the word artist retreat, it may bring to mind groups of people, teaching, and structure. I live in a beautiful place that I love, the Caribbean island of Anguilla. Our visitors are our livelyhood and the basis of our economy. People love to come here and we love sharing this beautiful place with…

Probably the best inspiration though, is when I am interacting with the people that collect my work or those seeing it for the… Continue

Horse Hinies

Lately I've spent a lot of time thinking about how I can effectively create a horse like hind-end. The plan is to build a Centaur character. The problem surrounding this technique and a Centaur is that traditionally they are unclothed. So the arms which are usually cloth with a shirt… Continue

A conflict of creativity

Have you ever had too many ideas at one time? Do I shop for new beads to go with that fabulous focal bead I bought at last month's MDPAG retreat. Now would be a good time to start up the new batch of Summer weight mini back bags I wanted to have ready by May/June. Then there are Odin and Andvari sitting on the shelf in my Family room in need of clothes and a minor paint job. This plus I promised myself I'd make another Steampunk Kitty like the one I gave away for the MDPAG silent auction. Then… Continue
