I am also a teacher but Art and Design and work mainly as a supply teacher here in Devon and Cornwall to the extreme SWest of England. It is a beautiful place to live and work and as we area penninula we are almost surrounded by wild waters and beaches to the North and quiet, sleepy coves to the South. The extreme part of Cornwall is home to the Tate St Ives and the cluster of artists around that area are more than fortunate to have such a wealth of artistic galleries and artists living there. I am just on the border between Devon and Cornwall on the River Tamar a listed area of outstanding beauty (ANOB) and boasts another cluster of artists working in rural studios.
Hi Cynthia,
I also work full time as a Elementry Library/ Tech Specialist in Kent. It seems I have so little time to do the fun fiber-mixed media stuff. How do you fit it all in?

Hi Cynthia! It's been forever since I saw you last! Take care and thanks for picking me for a friend. Oh! We live in WY now. Boy, I feel like I got dropped off in OZ. No artist groups to meet with. Love your website. HuGGs! Debi Minter

The portrait was done in response to a call for Self Portraits by women over 40 for Menopause the Musical. Mine was one of several chosen to travel around the country with the musical so I don't have it anymore! The photo is the only one I have after my computer crashed and was sent to me by a friend so at least I have that one close-up. If you haven't seen Menopause the Musical you must go--you will laugh your butt off. I used to teach/manage/work at The Bead Bar here in Orlando. I love beads and jewelry design but I always come back to fiber and mixed media for the variety it offers. Right now my focus is art quilts, with beads of course. I took a 5 day workshop with Ruth B. McDowell in Montana in June--wow!
Your web site is great. One of these days perhaps I will have one too!

Hi Cynthia! What made you pick me for a friend? Was it the crazy bead/fiber/anything goes vibes coming from central Florida?
