About me and my connection to fiber art & mixed media
I am a retired school teacher, now living in TarnSouth West France. My speciality when teaching was art, and a year ago encouraged by an ex colleague, I took to Textile Art. I love it. I am experimenting with mixed media, but mainly I stitch by hand on home dyed fabrics, elaborated with paint. . I am about to acquire a machine, but I do not know which to buy. I can't afford the super do it all electronic affairs, though I really could do with an automatic needle threader. It takes me longer to thread my beading needle than to do the beading!
I make bags, 3D objects, and wall hangings
I haven't yet got round to a website or blog. Stitching takes all my time!
