This looks as if it is a piece done in pastels! I have a felting attachment with my Bernina but haven't tried it as yet! This is so inspiring. Just beautiful.
Those are cheater french knots! You take a little bit of wool or silk roving and roll it into a tiny ball in your hand. Then you felt it down into place. I am not the best hand-stitcher, but practicing all the time! Sometimes I do a few hand French knots in the background to keep the size dimensions right in a landscape.
I love this! This is the kind of felting I'm trying to do on my new Babylock embellisher. I want to do landscape scenes with various fibers - wool roving, angelina, etc.
