This is a quilt I made to honor my mother's memory. She died last year from vascular dementia. It shows the progressive loss of cognitive ability and life through this terrible disease. It will be included in the Sacred Threads Exhibit in Herndon, VA in June. The fabric is rust and tea dyed and there are a lot of loose and hanging threads to represent the unraveling of a life.
