This quilt is complete, but here it is shown in progress. The bird is my original drawing made into quilt pattern. It is fused and sewn on. Then the background was painted. The grasses are embroidered with every stitch I could find as far back as the 1500's. The clouds are couched yarns, which gives a tufted rug effect. Scrap "Flying Geese" squares play homage to traditional quilting, and attest to the reason art quilting is more suited to myself. The fish is 3D, with ribbon fins, and stuffed. There is beading in all the grasses, discreetly blending, while attracting the eye with a glint of "Come hither, and see more."
