C'est un jabot, n'est-ce pas?

This is my take on "le jabot", the French word for a neckpiece with this shape, historically more formal. Foundation for this piece is painted canvas, embellished and machine embroidered, fabric collage, hand beading. The tie is a Kumihimo braid which I created. The piece measures approx. 5" across by 8" long, and three inch tassel.

Thanks, Judith. This piece was really fun to do. I'm looking forward to doing more somewhat similar.

I am sure any Frenchman would be proud to wear such a colorful piece. Well, maybe it would look better on his wife.
