Comment by Robbin Neff on June 26, 2012 at 8:01am Well, after reading the contract for the 100 Blocks, I decided not to send it in. I am deciding now what to do with it. I have taken out black and white gingham, and am going to do the flowers down a panel for a baby quilt. The flowers will be yellows this time, and the side panels will be yellow with bumblebees flying all around.
I finished this up a week ago, or so. I work on so many daily, it is hard to remember.

Comment by Robbin Neff on June 7, 2012 at 8:03pm Wow! So many Texas plates in Jax. I so wanted to head down IH10, but....another day. I will be back though. I have a house to maintain in Buda. Could y'all turn off the faucet? It's flooding now, and it's coming from home.
On the good side, hubby is back in the country and the computer is up and running again. Yippee! I have been getting lots done. Just wait until y'all see.
This is an ongoing, almost finished sampler. It is on Irish linen. As you can see, a thread crotchet piece has been embroidered into it. These come out so pretty and up the anti so to speak. All those little tester squares you make are perfect for this.
Comment by Della Badart on June 5, 2012 at 7:13pm I like lots of different media too. Fiber is so tactile, I love it. I crochet, embrioder and quilt. I like to try a variety of things.
My new on line obsession is Pinterst.
I am also a blogger at badartworld.com
It's nice to see people interested in connecting over fiber art!
Robin, I live in Austin and lived in Florida for years, Tampa and Key West. I miss the beach!
Comment by Cheryl Hayes on June 5, 2012 at 2:44pm Hello all, I am a high school teacher 2 years from retirement (whoopee), so am cranking the dial up on my textiles to get ready for unstructured free time! I paint (oil and watercolor), I weave and spin, and do all sorts of embroidery crafts; I have been sewing since I was 12. Oh yes, bookmaking and drawing too. I don't think it will ever get narrowed down to less than that because I do love them all; the trick is to combine as many as possible and see what happens..
I am in North Texas now, 6th generation native Texan, but the heat is about to run me off, seriously now, this is horrible already. Too hot to be outside; want to live where I don't have to air condition the outside studio! When not working on my art, I garden and travel and read.. a lot...
Happy to be here! Making summer plans, possibly going to Cape Cod...
Comment by Robbin Neff on May 26, 2012 at 6:36pm Can I join? I own a house just south of Austin, born in San Antonio, consider myself first and foremost Texan, but live in FL because of navy. I sure miss home. At least the beach is around the corner. Y'all are welcome any time.
Comment by aprile.mazey on March 4, 2012 at 10:34pm Hi there everyone! I live in North Fort Worth...I am not sure if what I do is considered Fiber Arts but I crochet and like to use lots of different materials. I have a blog and an Etsy Shop.
