This is the first book Isobel has self published and it is a beauty. Full of stunning photography, Isobel takes us on a journey using interesting and easily obtained materials in unusual ways. Ideas for Bags, book covers, wall hangings bowls and much more are all covered in detail. There are clear step by step instructions for projects and the photos show beautiful examples of Isobels owm work. This book will appeal to both the begiiner and more advance textile artrist as it has something for everyone and is a book that can be dipped into time and time again for inspiration. I can thoroughly recommend this book. To purchase a copy contact Isobel at

A must have book for anyone who enjoys embroidery whether a beginner or someone who has been stitching for years. It answers your questions from 'how to' do certain stitches, sew on embellishements and finish off work as well as tools and equipment and many others. Beautifully illustrated throughout with clear images this book is good value for money and I give it 10 out of 10..

Why does it not surprise me that you have already made another quilt ;-)

Thanks Diane. And no, I didn't make it in to the workshop because too many members were interested. I plan to join OSG in September though so hopefully there will be other interesting opportunities and workshops in the future. I have already made one cracked paper quilt by following Carol's instructions in Quilting Arts magazine--fun!

Congratulations Linda for having one of your pieces in the book.
Will we be seeing you at the OSG workshop in June?

Yes, Susan has a few pieces in the book and I'm please to say I had one accepted too. I keep it as a coffee table book (I've had mine for about a month) and friends and family are enjoying all of the beautiful work whether they are fibre artists or not!

This is a brilliant book for anyone interested in the Textile arts. It's gallery style pages with full colour photographs make it a must for inspiration and just to see hwat is 'out there'. There are many recognisable 'names' who have work in it. well worth the money.
