Welcome!

Creative art journaling has been a very healing experience for me and I know it is helping others. In this group, I'd like to explore this idea with others who have discovered this and with those who are curious. Please feel free to add pics and tips, but especially any stories of how this is helping, inspiring or healing for you.

Thank you...and welcome!

hello just joined this group. I have only just started a sketchbook for 2010 and wonder why I hadnt done one before as they are a great way to express all the ideas that were cramming up in my head..I havent been well this week but finding just playing in my journal really comforting. To see some of my pages here is my blog link as not sure where to post pics in the group

I was a longtime journal writer, but keeping an art journal for two years now has reawakened my soul. It helped me climb out of a very dark place, and continues to provide me a place to dream and grow. My profile pic is from a journal I'm working on with the book The Creative Entrepeneur. Wonderful book! Also, for anyone interested, artist Misty Mawn is having her January Journal event on her blog. See it here.
How wonderful to have found this group!

Okay, Fiber/Mixed Media...I am supposed to be in the kitchen baking Christmas cookies and preparing for first load of company to arrive tomorrow, but as usual a message arrived and I find myself immersed in the gorgeous and wonderful works of this very fine group. So happy I found you all!

I am intrigued by shadows and sunlight, awakened in early childhood, watching the images on my walls and floors. My first art journal page, Garden Journal is on my main page. I look forward to continuing with this project and participating in this group.

Hi. I am primarily an artist in hand made felt, but I have used free weaving, knitting, and embroidery in my pieces also. I have never done any art journaling but I hope that this group will be an inspiration!

Hello everyone, Since September I have used my journal sketchbook pages to inspire and continue work into other medias. Is anyone else using their pages to continue into larger pieces?
