Struan Cottage
*Aileen Clarke Crafts* has added a photo to the pool:
Pleased to be able to share this today with my customer's permission. This was a commission to depict this gorgeous thatched cottage on Uist in felt. The cottage has been in the family of my lovely customer for years and it was a delight to make this piece. I was allowed to use some artistic licence and was asked to include the rainbow and the sheep. Pleased to say that the recipient is delighted with it. scrappy annie has added a photo to the pool:
A bit of a mixture of techniques in this one.
The background is a combination of hand dyed fabric and and old photograph with has been treated with paint and heat.
The figure is made up of air dried clay, paper, paint and hand stitch. I have embellished it with machine embroidery and paint.
